520 SxS Santa Cruise
This weekend on Saturday, Dec. 5th, On Any Moto joined the lit-up lineup for the 4th Annual Santa Cruise to the Diamond Children's Medical Center.
Starting at 2:00 pm, off-road enthusiasts from On Any Moto, the 520 SxS club, Steele Performance, One-Off Road, and Desert RV joined together on the west side at Steele Performance. There, food trucks served Colombian food, bbq, and Sonoran hot dogs to old at young at this family-friendly event. Attendees were able to check out Steele Performance's shop, inside which they could buy Steele Performance Stickers and 520 SxS flags to attach to their whips.
On Any Moto was happy to bring along Santa and one of his helpers to make an appearance for the kids! Santa was a huge hit with the kids, who excitedly followed him around for photos and shyly made their case for his "nice" list this year.Groups showed off their festive SxS's decked out with Christmas lights, tinsel, inflatable Santas & penguins, and more.
Once sunset grew nearer, the entire group of over 100 SxS's began their lineup, starting the parade on Jackrabbit Ave., lining up past the On Any Moto shop, and winding around to Coyote Road back to Steele Performance. With the sun dipping down behind the western mountains, the crew made their way towards the children's hospital, eventually lining up in one of the nearby neighborhoods to ensure we left no one behind for the big parade into the hospital's lot.
With so many lights flashing and festive music playing, we gathered multiple audiences throughout the neighborhood. People came out of their homes to see what the commotion was about and expressed how touched they were about this fantastic event for the kids.
"It was the most enjoyable and inspiring gathering I've experienced in my three years in Tucson," said James Bautista, On Any Moto Sales Manager.
As we pulled into the hospital's parking lot, our flashy parade turned heads. First, our train wound its way through the hospital's front roundabout, where staff members were waiting to collect gifts and gift cards for the kids. Families and staff walking back to their cars stopped to pull out their phones for photos.
From there, our group made its way up the parking garage to its rooftop. Once parked, each vehicle's lights and decor were on full display for the faces pressed up the hospital windows. With the sun fully set, participants could walk around the lot and view decorated vehicles with the full effect. Here, Santa continued his rounds with the younger crowd.
"It was cool to represent someone who kids look forward to seeing every year," said Justin Sundberg, Service Writer at On Any Moto, who happily took on the role of Santa for the young ones.
Our group filled the entire top floor with decorated SxS's and motorcycles. Festivities even spilled out onto the ramp leading to the level below. Members of the Tucson MOPAR Enthusiasts also joined in with their decorated vehicles.
Overall the event was a huge success, with a huge turnout. "I was overly impressed with the turnout," said Sundberg. "It was awesome to see happiness back in people's eyes."
